The Cigars
Darrin Hildebrand owned and operated a cigar shop in Sandusky, Ohio for ten years. During this time, his passion grew for every aspect of the cigar industry, from growing the tobacco to the burn of a fine rolled, fresh cigar. His cigar shop slowly converted to where most of the cigars he sold were his blends. The demand for his product was so great that he decided to start his own line, Great Lakes Cigars.
He specializes in small batch cigars, using the finest tobaccos available, and using his own techniques. Hand bunching, using wrapper grad for binder to enhance the flavor. Tapering the strong filler, ligero, on both ends, so the blends gradually start together and grow, then naturally mellows out at the end so there is no bitterness. This allows you to smoke all the way to the end.
We will feature the three cigars listed below plus a special blend for the night of the event. Darren will be on premise rolling the special blend for the night of the event.
