Friday September 18th, 2026 •6:30 p.m.
Please join us Friday, September 18, 2026, as we welcome the iconic Peter Michael Winery to Chez François for an exceptional evening celebrating some of California’s most distinguished estate-grown wines.
Our special guest and co-host for the evening will be National Sales Manager Armen Khachaturian, who will share his knowledge and insight into the Peter Michael Winery portfolio and the unique vineyards and terroirs that define these remarkable wines.
The evening will feature seven exceptional Peter Michael wines, thoughtfully paired with a six-course prix-fixe dinner prepared by Chef/Proprietor John D’Amico and his talented staff.
We invite you to join us for an evening of fine wine, extraordinary food, and an exploration of one of California’s most celebrated family-owned wineries.
Peter Michael Winery is located on the western face of Mount St. Helena in the Knights Valley AVA of Sonoma County, with additional estate vineyards in the West Sonoma Coast and Oakville in Napa Valley. The Knights Valley ranch is on Highway 128, halfway between the towns of Calistoga and Healdsburg. In short, Peter Michael Winery is based in Knights Valley, but its estate vineyards span Sonoma County and Napa Valley, giving the winery access to very different terroirs for its Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Peter Michael Winery is distinguished by its mountain vineyard estates, limited-production approach, classical French winemaking principles, and a 100‑year family stewardship promise designed to preserve the land. High-elevation volcanic, coastal, and hillside soils express a rare level of terroir-driven complexity. With a fortunate history of acclaimed winemakers and vineyard teams, Peter Michael Winery is a benchmark producer of California Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon and Blends.
Peter Michael Winery has been family-owned since 1982 and is now led by second-generation steward Paul Michael and his wife, Emily. Their 100 x 100 vision is to be 100% family-owned for 100 years.

Sauvignon Blanc “L’Après-Midi”, Peter Michael Winery, Knights Valley, Sonoma County, California, 2024
The lovely light yellow 2024 ‘L’Apres-Midi’ showcases an inviting blend of guava, white nectarine, fresh peach and lemon zest, framed with hints of white roses, jasmine and mango. A creamy entry and soft mouthfeel are balanced with juicy acidity and a generous body with impressive length and a clean finish. This is a classy Sauvignon Blanc ready to be enjoyed this afternoon. Blend: 96% Sauvignon Blanc, 4% Sémillon
Chardonnay “Belle Côte”, Peter Michael Winery, Knights Valley, Sonoma County, California, 2024
With a profusion of orange blossom, rose oil, orange zest and lemon drop candy with accents of yellow spring flowers and cinnamon, the 2024 ‘Belle Côte‘ is a pure aromatic expression of its inimitable terroir and thirty-four-year-old vines. The rich, viscous entry leads to a full-bodied, structured mid-palate and long, intense finish. The 2024 ‘Belle Côte‘ showcases both power and poise, a true stunner.
Chardonnay “La Carrière”, Peter Michael Winery, Knights Valley, Sonoma County, California, 2024
True to its name, the Chardonnay La Carrière is full of stony, briny nuances. Citrus peel, jasmine, oyster shell and tangerine peel are all wonderfully vivid in the glass. Airy and translucent, the Carrière is all about crystalline transparency. I especially admire its energy, tension and poise. Other wines in this range offer more power and richness, but La Carrière is my personal favorite because of its intense minerality and energy. – Antonio Galloni
Pinot Noir “Le Caprice”, Peter Michael Winery, Fort Ross-Seaview, Sonoma County, California, 2024
Scintillating hues of garnet and ruby flash in the glass with an aromatic fanfare of black cherry, dried rose petals, black raspberry, wild strawberries and red plum with hints of sandalwood and baking spices in the 2024 ‘Le Caprice‘ Pinot Noir. Representing the steepest vineyard blocks, seamless, plush and effortless, this is the most fruit-driven of the Seaview Estate wines. The 2024 ‘Le Caprice‘ delivers with a balanced, elegant and classic expression of Pinot noir.
Cabernet Sauvignon “Au Paradis”, Peter Michael Winery, Napa Valley, Oakville, California, 2024
“The 2024 Cabernet Sauvignon Au Paradis contains 21% Cabernet Franc and 2% Merlot. It has singular, inviting aromas of blueberry, black cherry, juniper, thyme, violet and dark chocolate. The full-bodied palate is just as expressive, offering power and concentration without sacrificing elegance. Its graphite and floral-laced flavors are structured by luxuriously powdery tannins and bright acidity, and it has a very long, layered finish. A total of 1,642 cases were made, and the wine will be released in September of 2025.”
Red “Les Pavots”, Peter Michael Winery, Knights Valley, Sonoma County, California, 2023
Dark ruby-red and opaque in the glass, the 2023 ‘Les Pavots’ mesmerizes with an overture of black currant, purple flowers, black olive, dark cherries and black raspberry framed with accents of black tea, anise, and baking spices. The supple entry builds to a broad, concentrated mid-palate with a smooth, lengthy finish. This is a full-bodied, balanced wine with extraordinarily refined tannins in great quantity. One of the finest expressions of Les Pavots in the last two decades, the 2023 is a rare wine that can be enjoyed early on but will gracefully age for the next twenty years. Blend: 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Cabernet Franc, 11% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot
Red “Les Pavots”, Peter Michael Winery, Knights Valley, Sonoma County, California, 2018
More minerality, graphite, and scorched earth notes emerge from the 2018 Les Pavots. Full-bodied and uber-concentrated, it reveals building tannins, awesome mid-palate depth, and one heck of a great finish. It’s a serious, powerful, blockbuster beauty that also holds onto perfect balance and a beautiful sense of elegance. It will keep for two decades or more.
