The Wines…
“Our philosophy is simple: Offer a selection of premium wines and spirits produced with the highest level of quality and value to enhance any experience”. – Don Opici, CEO Opici Wines & Spirits
Chardonnay “Filebasse”, Viberti, Piedmont, Italy, 2022
This wine benefits with a little extra time in the glass. It opens up to reveal aromas of roasted apple, lemon zest and gravel. The wine is vinified all in steel, so the vibrant fruit on the palate is expressive with upfront Honeycrisp apple, Meyer lemon and white flowers. Medium in body it has a bright and peppy finish. — Jeff Porter
Bianco, “Dogajolo”, Carpineto, Tuscany, Italy, 2022
A unique blend of Chardonnay, Grechetto and Sauvignon Blanc grapes. Pleasant fruity sensations emerge on the nose in harmony with delicate aromatic characteristics. The taste is fresh and full-bodied, with a pleasantly dry and velvety finish.
Vermentino Della Maremma, “Pagliatura”, Fattoria di Magliano, Tuscany, Italy, 2022
A savory earthiness comes first on the nose, before sweet and tart aromas of green apple, caramelized sugar and grapefruit emerge. Those notes continue developing on the palate, until a warm, nutty almond finish.
Cabernet Sauvignon, “Farnito”, Carpineto, Tuscany, Italy, 2018
The name Farnito is derived from a type of oak tree known as Farna found in the vicinity of the vineyards. Carpineto Farnito Cabernet Sauvignon is produced from estate-grown fruit. A full-bodied Super Tuscan, Carpineto Farnito is a rich expression of the Cabernet Sauvignon varietal boasting complex aromas of ripe red cherry with concentrated flavors of spice and licorice. Aged in French and American oak barrels for 12 months, the wine is structured with a vanilla note and big tannins marking the finish.
Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva DOCG, Carpineto, Tuscany, Italy, 2018
Ripe, powerful, and earthy, with a woody, herbal nose and a hint of a medicinal quality. The smoky palate offers intense blackcurrants, tar, balsamic sweetness, and a little touch of farmyard. A youthful wine, compact and powerful.
Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, Carpineto, Tuscany, Italy, 2018
The 2018 Brunello Di Montalcino is expressive out of the gate and ripe with purity, revealing cherry lozenge, pressed lavender, blood orange, and sanguine earth. It is seamless to the palate, with its ripe fruit lasting through the finish, with freshness and energetic tension. With notes of sweet raspberry, wild strawberry, herbes de Provence, and saline earth, this is a beautiful and elegant wine to drink over the next 10 -12 years.
Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG, Cesari, Veneto, Italy 2019
Amarone is one of Italy’s most prestigious red wines with a unique production method exclusive to the region. The bouquet of Cesari’s flagship wine is marked by cherry and prune aromas and jammy notes. Toasted nuances and hints of vanilla follow in this full, warm, harmonious red. A long and persistent finish is defined by bold tannins that elegantly coat the palate. Produced from dried grapes cultivated in the historic Classico area of the appellation, Cesari Amarone is extensively aged in a combination of French and Slavonian oak barrels for a total of 3 years following fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
Brachetto d’Acqui DOCG, Villa Rosa, Piedmont, Italy NV
Bright cherry colored in the glass. Fresh and lively on the nose showing strawberry, cranberry and candied spice aromas. The palate is silky and lightly effervescent, with a mixture of raspberry, sweet herbs, vanilla, and plum. A pure finish, with excellent length, nicely frames each component. Drink right away while young and fresh. Pair it with any berry dessert, from a raspberry tart to a blackberry crumble to strawberry shortcake.
Amaro, Meletti, Adriatic Coast, Italy
The brisk, invigorating scent of this amaro hovers between herbal and medicinal. On the palate, it skews sweeter, with rich caramel and hazelnut flavors and just enough bitterness and baking spice to keep things interesting.
